We want to help you stay up to date about the work happening across our seven teams and let you know when and where you can engage to make an impact on that work.

Save the Date: Impact Expo & Alumni Reception

Join us for the first annual Impact Maker Expo on Thursday, April 21st, from 3:00 pm-5:30 pm, followed by a reception from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm – all at Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts. You can explore a showcase of the Impact Maker teams’ action in the community. We will also hear from individuals who are leading the change on these pressing issues facing Arizona.

Speakers include leaders from child well-being, environmental sustainability, health, and many other sectors. We’ll also be joined by the 72nd Man and Woman of the year, Kimber Lanning and Dr. Warren H. Stewart, Sr., for an intimate fireside chat.

RSVP today.

AZ FAFSA TikTok Challenge

In partnership with the AZ FAFSA Coalition, the Impact Maker Education Team launched the AZ FAFSA TikTok Challenge in early February to raise awareness about the importance of completing the FAFSA and the support available to students and families across Arizona.

February 28th is the last day for students to post a TikTok in order to be eligible for prizes, including a $1000 scholarship and new laptop from Be A Leader Foundation, as well as university swag.

Learn more at azfafsa.org or access the AZ FAFSA toolkit to help spread the word.

Team Lead & Member Spotlights

Last month, nine of our Impact Maker leaders joined a group of motivated individuals from Valley Leadership’s Catalyze cohort during our virtual Impact Maker orientation session. They met with more than thirty participants to discuss how their Impact Teams and To Do Item team members work to address Arizona’s most pressing issues.

We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to Erin Hart, Gabriel Jaramillo, Joyceline Elliot, Koran Hardimon, Lorenzo Chavez, Melanie Burm, Patricia Ewanski, Paige Soucie and Samantha Tavares for their leadership during January’s orientation session and their continued commitment to our Principles of Doing!
